The Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists is an annual meeting held to conduct society business, to hold scientific sessions for oral presentations, posters and symposia, to present achievement and service awards, to select and present best student papers, and to provide opportunities for members to meet and socialize. The annual meetings allow members to keep up-to-date about each other’s work, and provides a venue at which students may interact with the professional scientific community of ichthyologists and herpetologists.
